We have been studying the word “Beginning.” We are now on the second letter, which is number six, representing man. Man is the image of God and was made in His likeness. God made the earth for man, but man lost his position because he sinned against God. God cursed the ground, not man. The curse is in the ground, the bloodline of Adam, and the name. Jesus took us out of the bloodline of Adam and brought us into His own blood. We belong to Jesus, and we are washed by His blood. Names matter, and Proverbs 22:1 says that a good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. We have to work on our names, because a good name is important.
Ezekiel 16:6–9 speaks about God seeing us struggling in our blood and commanding us to live. Through His Word, faithfulness, and anointing, God restores His people and lifts them higher. We need to know who we are in Christ, because God calls us, lifts us up, ordains us, and empowers us to fulfil His purpose. He calls us to be faithful, to work, to build, and to take steps of faith. God gives us power to heal the sick and cast out devils, and our lives are to demonstrate His power. We must set our minds on things that are above, as Philippians 4:8 and Colossians 3:2 teach us. James 5:14–15 speaks about the prayer of faith and anointing with oil. We are called to walk with Jesus, live by His Word, and demonstrate His power in our lives.
